By accessing or using the website, services, or certification system of American Forest Standard (“AFS”), you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any portion of these Terms, you must refrain from using our services.

1. Use of Website and Services

You agree to utilize AFS services solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable standards and requirements. Misrepresentation of qualifications, submission of fraudulent project data, or misuse of the certification platform is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension or revocation of certification.

2. Intellectual Property

All website content, including but not limited to trademarks, logos, text, graphics, and downloadable materials, is the property of AFS and protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution of AFS materials is prohibited without prior written consent.

3. Builder Responsibilities

Certified individuals and organizations must ensure that all submitted information is accurate and complete. Certified members are expected to maintain ethical conduct and comply fully with certification requirements. Non-compliance may result in the suspension or permanent revocation of certification status.

4. Limitation of Liability

AFS disclaims any liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may result from use of its website, services, or certification documents. Certification by AFS does not constitute a legal guarantee of project quality, environmental performance, or regulatory compliance.

5. Termination

AFS reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to its services for any violation of these Terms of Use, or for conduct deemed detrimental to the integrity of the certification program.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
